At the brink of losing herself, she sat with her hands folded, her tears dried at the corner of her eyes. The darkness outside symbolic of the emptiness she felt inside. She raised her head, one more time, hoping to see towards the light. Her focus was waned by a film of tears beginning to cloud her vision.

Outside the half asleep moon waited for dawn to break. She gazed at the clouds passing by slowly across their field. Her slow steps moved towards the window, she looked down at the sleepy town readying itself for the day. Despair declines.

This month, I hope to do a theme “Emotions” and that too in the form of drabble. Hopefully, I am able to do justice to my resolve of writing the whole of this month.
