It was Sunday and all I wanted to do was sleep. I heard Daddy calling out for a sun bath. Tiny little feet jumped on the slippers and ran towards the voice. Daddy was ready with the bottle of oil for my head massage.  A pair of clippers kept ready to snip the growth of nails on the hands and feet.

I gasped at the first slump of water on my head. Startled I got up…it was time to get going for the weekend load of laundry, dusting, stacking, cleaning, organizing, teaching and babysitting.

Daddy, how about next birth, now!

This month, I hope to do a theme “Emotions” and that too in the form of drabble. Hopefully, I am able to do justice to my resolve of writing the whole of this month.

  1. Now that’s a nostalgia one can never get over! That feeling of being Daddy’s little girl…precious, nothing like that in the world. Wonderfully captured here, Kajal.
